The company
A remote expert, a device or a delivery solves only part of the problem. Care needs them to work together.
That is the idea behind Medical Capability as a Service (MedCaaS): knowledge, connected tools, intelligent assistance and continuing support. AI as a Service (AIaaS) is included.
The edge can be a rural hospital, an isolated community, a demanding workplace or an expeditionary mission. It is any setting where the environment or the task changes what care requires.
What is frontier medicine?Xavtli develops the support system. Qualified clinical providers deliver the care.

The path ahead
Design the learning from the start, so each step can inform the next.
Start with real clinical work. Connect the expertise, tools and information a qualified team needs.
Plan prospective data collection around defined questions, permissions and outcomes. Make evidence useful from the outset.
Use that evidence to evaluate AI assistance and individual robotic tasks, with validation for each intended use.
Needs on Earth guide our development. The long-term ambition is more independent medical capability in increasingly isolated settings, including space.

Founder & CEO
Interventional radiologist
“Necessity asks of medicine what comfort never will.”
John built the interventional trauma program at Brooke Army Medical Center and served as the Air Force Surgeon General’s consultant for interventional radiology. His published work spans expeditionary trauma care, AI-assisted ultrasound and procedural autonomy in space. That experience shapes Xavtli’s approach: build around what it actually takes to deliver care at the edge.
